I dont think you can eliminate it, but you can definately do things to reduce it. Solid motor mounts, poly bushings, suspension, LSD, tires, are all things you can do th help.

Try this, it has helped me a lot: Lanch with the steering wheel a little off center (slightly to the left works best for me). I have a quaife, so I dont know how well it works on a normal setup, but for me it seems to help with the weight transfer and the tires spin instead of hop (which is another problem, but hey, you asked for help with wheel hop not tire spin )

I just installed a performace fords street link and it helped a LOT to control the drivetrain slop.
I offer PnP Heads for all durtec's details at PnPheads.com or jesse@pnpheads.com for details.

Wasn't someone saying that they could cause problems because they're too stiff? Did you get increased vibration?

I had solid motor mounts in for two years and never had any problems with anything vibrating itself apart, I doubt one solid torque strut would cause any problems. The only time you would notice anything other than a slight buzz would be at start up... the engine jumps quite a bit, but other than that a solid strut is quite managable.

forgive my ignorance, but i am having trouble picturing a solid mount. Do you simply fabricate a new bracket, or would you fabricate an equally proportioned metal piece which would replace the rubber bushing?
