OP bmg98svt_dup1 CEG\'er B Joined: Nov 2001 Posts: 66 pennsylvania	I have a CEL for the EGR valve, the problem is that i had it replaced 2 months ago. The CEL is always on, what else should I check for. Also if i give it 50% throttle in 1st gear when the secondaries open the is a hesitation and then it pulls. Any advice would be good because this car does not feel right at all. -Bassani exhaust Track #'s -Sho Shop intake 14.986@92.16 -CTA inlet pipe -MSDS headers w/ Y-pipe -Ground Control Coilovers -Koni Adjustable Struts - Quaife, fidanza, spec 3 -DMD -Apexi S-AFC

dbird_dup1 Veteran CEG\'er D Joined: Apr 2002 Posts: 888	what kind of trouble shooting did you do when you got the check engine light for the EGR valve(possible a P0401) code?? you dont just change out parts as it is only in the EGR system... did the light ever go out and stay out?????

Any advice would be good because this car does not feel right at all. Did you by any chance check the DPFE sensor? (Gas pressure differential sensor.) I know Ford re-engineered it and that was my problem. I was getting ERG and O2 codes as well. Also check for a leak in all vacum lines and that they are on properly. PCV hose is usually the problem hose. 1996 2.5LT V6 Contour ATX My Tour+help/info pics E0 rims, Gutted Pre-Cats,CTA Custom Exhaust & Intake, Diablo Chip.
