I have seen some heated mirrors on ebay. Where would be the on off switch for it? Has anyone installed these before?

They're wired into the rear window defroster switch so they come on when you turn on the rear defroster...

I thought heated mirrors were standard on '95 Contours anyway?

According to the homepage, they were an option through 97, then were "no longer an option". I assume that means they were standard in 97 and beyond.
But if my '97 has heated mirrors then they truly suck.

I think that means they were no longer ANY heated mirrors.

Yes, it could mean that, but I always thought that the later year LXs and SVTs at the very least had heated mirrors...

1998+ Contiques DO NOT have heated mirrors from the factory. Check the harness behind the mirror now, if you have power mirrors. If there are 5 female pins on the connector coming out of the door, the mirrors will be plug and play (I still had the correct fuse on my 98, even though the manual says "NOT USED").
FWIW, I love the heated mirrors on misty or rainy days - clears the mirrors right off.

If you have 5 pins on the connector, they are ready to go awaiting a transplant of the motor (for the harness containing wiring for the motor AND the heaters) and the heated glass. I know, because I recontented heated mirrors on my car built April 1997 (E0/98 SVT). They come right on when I hit the rear defrost button.
