the noise that the car makes to let you know that the keys are in or the lights are still on comes on for no apparent reason. it also sometimes does not warn me that the llights are still on. it is not all the time , but at least a few times a week. im thinking that whatever sensor in one of the doors or maybe the headlight wiring is off line. or something. i did the fog light fix a month or so ago, but im pretty sure it happened before that.
on the road of life there are fast cars, and then there are hondas.

Either the switch is busted or you might not be making a good ground. FYI, the screw that holds it in place is also the grounding connection for the screw. -Nick

I have the alarm go off occasionally when I open the door. Usually its because when I remove the ignition key in the lock position, the switch hasn't popped out all the way. Its a little annoying, but it does wake you up!

thanks for that link. im pretty sure that that is the problem. it isnt totally jammed which is why it only happens occasionally. i tried to search, but i guess i searched the wrong keywords. ill clean that out today and if it still happens ill reply again. sorry for the extra new topic.
ive also noticed that when it does actually start bonging(no weed pun intended) its not untill the door is almost all the way open. im always in a parking lot or garage, so there isnt always enough room to open it that far.
