OP Joshua at Baylor Member J Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 139 Waco, TX	Hey guys, I know this problem has been talked about several times but I want a definate answer to my question on this problem. My dash is warping and causing the defroster vent to arch out of its position. My car has 50,000 miles on it but I don't have any type of warranty on it. I have also searched recalls for the dash warping on ford's website and could find none. So my question is this: If I took my car to the local ford dealership would the dash warping be fixed under a recall or would I have to pay for it myself? I am looking to do this on Wednesday since today is the last day before finals. Thanks. P.S. T-red2000se Member T Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 1,075 Blue Springs, MO	I actually got the notification about a week after I took mine in to get this problem fixed...6 months later, I had a new dash...You may not have to wait that long, since I was probably lost in a sea of Contour owners with bad dashes...not to mention that the first time they "fixed" it they had the wrong dash and didn't put it in, didn't tell me, just told me to have a nice day and hoped I didn't notice... So, what I'm saying is...prepare to wait. Ride: 2000 T-red SE Beats: Kenwood 316S, Alpine MRF200, Orion XTR 6.2, Coustic 400SE Mods: CTA, Magnaflow exhaust, SVT Instrument cluster, Knuaberized doors, side markers, F***ed up painted headlights.
