When I go get gas in my car. The station pump constaintly clicks off. I have never had this problem with any other car at the same gas stations. What is causing this. Is there any good way of fixing it?

Happened to me also, I noticed that if I take the cap off slowly I don't have the problem. Guess thats why they put it on the cap huh

That problem was covered under a recall some time ago. The fuel filler valve has a problem and the entire fill 'neck' gets replaced under the recall IIRC. The flap that keeps gas from spilling out of the car in the event of a rollover is faulty and causes gas pumps to shut off because the flap is obstructing the flow of gas down to the tank. You may still be covered under the recall, talk to your local dealer and see what they say.
Unfortunately it isn't an easy job to do yourself as the entire gas tank has to come down and then the filler neck has to be replaced.

wow, i tried to get my local dealer to do all the recall work and they said they would only do things that were broke or malfunctioning. and they said my car only had 1 recall. and I was like BS.

Yea, its that damn filler neck recall....I had mine replaced but it still on occasion happenes. So what i do is push the filler all the way in, pull out slightly so the filler drops down a little but is still in the tank and then i start pumping....and it works like a charm....you ahve to hold it there so it doesn;t fall out, but the speed is worth the trouble in my opininon.

It is not a formal recall.
It is a "Customer Notification Campaign" that extends the warranty on selected vehicles.
