I actually met the friend of a friend last night that recently purchased the SRT-4. While being a fan of the SRT-4 it wasn't as quick as I had anticipated. It wasn't really his driving because he did some solid pulls through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear. The nice thing about it though is the fact that it is begging to be tampered with...the exhaust system is disgusting! Can one say crush bends?

I then took him for a ride in the ol' SVT now pushing 7-7.5 psi...he was astonished! I actually think he pooped himself when he realized that we were in third gear and still didn't have "full" traction.

I do still respect the SRT-4 as I always have, and would still buy one...but it's a little to "young" of a car for me....

The Evo, and STI are both great cars...what else can be said.

Cars are like computers...up to date for about a day..then something comes out thats faster, and can do it jobs more economically.

I really doubt that any ones contour svt will be able to beat a evo with mild work. There are people on the evo forums running 12.4-12.0 @114with less than $2,000 worth of mods. The guy that ran a 12.0@114 had a slipping stock clutch, stock injectors, stock turbo and intercooler. With a good clutch and a bigger turbo that is mid to low 11's.
Evo's actually look alot better in person pics will not do it justice.

Well. Maybe so.
But it will be FUN TRYING! That is sometimes more most of the fun. What fun is it if you never get nervous and sweaty at the thought of a close race that you might lose might win, or the underdog race where you're sure you're going to lose but damned if you'll give up without a fight!
Thats me, I'm not going to quit and I will make a good showing trying! Fear the Contour!
