Alright, here's what happened...The shifter moved freely left to right and i was stuck choosing between 3rd or 4th gear. So I got down to the linkage on the top of the transmission and i'm pretty sure that i re-attached it properly. But, it just "pushed on"...Is there no bolt or anything? Also, i have what looks like a large rubber washer, about 1/2" to 3/4" thick, about 2" in diameter, with a center hole about 5/8" to 3/4" in diameter. WHAT THE HELL IS IT?? I pulled it out when i was fumbling with the linkage last night.... DOES ANYONE have any diagrams of the shift linkage and how it connects to the box on top of the tranny?
