They have gotten alot more picky on what they take back (at least here where I am, where white trash out-numbers humans 100 to 1) Anyways, returning anything without a reciept will either get you a gift card or the exact same model. However, a good story... My buddy brought back an old Jensen cd player that wouldnt play cd's anymore. Well, they stopped selling Jensen so they gave him the full value of the cd player, right before they stopped selling it, towards a brand new (nice) Pioneer head unit. Only 'catch' was that he couldnt keep the box the Pioneer head unit came in cause he didnt bring the Jensen back in a box! Even funnier was that they packed the Jensen in the Pioneer box for shipping back... -Nick

I've found that Wal-mart has a fairly good return policy, with few questions. Which is good, since I've had really bad luck with buying anything elecronic or electrical at our local Wal-mart. It seems people bring stuff back after they've damaged it, or even repackage burnt out light bulbs and dead batteries and return them, saying that they "were the wrong size". Wal-mart management never checks out the returns, and restocks them back on the shelves. Next customer gets defective merchandise and has to go through the hassle of returning it. I NEVER buy anything electical or mechanical at Wal-mart if the box shows any indication that it has been opened or is not factory sealed.

yea i woulnt buy anything electrical or mechanical fromt wal-mart or the like. Man did we have fun in the back room!. Word of advice, dont be mean to the person helping you, we know what has been tossed around and what hasnt, most likely they will give you the piece of crap one instead of the good one.

I had an alright return experience. Mu buddies bought a fish tank kit (it came with everything except fish...) well my friend broke the heater. So I was going to ukiah (the town 20min. from me where Wal*Mart is...) so he had me exchange it. Well I go there and the girl tells me to grab a new one, I look in the fish dept. and i don't see the exact heater, so i grab a different one. i walk to the return desk and the girl said it was ok even though it was a different brand. Then this other lady there tells me there is no bar code on the old one so it's probably from a pet store. I call my friend and she says that it came in a kit, I tell that to the store people and so they make me get the whole freaking kit! This thing was like HUGE! I had to have some guy who worked there put the damn thing on a big ass push cart thing. Then all they did was open the box and give me the new heater and i walked out the door.
