How has that paint you used shown to hold up to the high temperatures and grease in the engine bay?

I'll have to look at the cans to see what they say, but I know you can bake them in the oven after being sprayed and it'll increase it's durability.....up to 1200 degrees I think. But since I still need to eat things that come out of my oven, I chose to let it "bake" in the sun. I'll find out what's what and let you know...

I used the same stuff on my CRX valve cover. It worked well. They do make some lower temp stuff (500 deg) that doesn't need to bake at all, that might be the way to go.
I love the way that looks.

No, I did use the Foliatec kit in the past but it never came out looking as good as the job he did.
Now I hate America? That is a new one to me.

Oh this stuff is the lower temp stuff, but it says on the back that since it has ceramic in the paint it can be baked a different temps. to get different heat resistance out of their paint. I'll have to see what it says when I get back to the house tonight.

that looks really tight man. Looks like a real powdercoat job to me, man. and i actually really like the high gloss look, although at first i didn't think it was black. i though it was like a smoked out chrome or something metallic. Maybe even clearcoated carbonfibre or something. but definately, from those angles, leave it alone, don't wet sand it. it looks awesome.

Nice job. How'd you smooth out the lettering on the IMRC cover? It looks very nice.

What was the name of the blue you used? I would like to do my covers soon. Looks good man, and I agree, don't dull out the black.
