Just got these Pilots on my 98 SVT (205-55-16) Saturday. Boy o boy, I don't like them at all. It fishtails very badly during a quick lane change. I had Goodyear LSs on there before and the tread was pretty much gone so there was no fishtailing going on. I did contact Discount Tire this morning and spoke to a friend of mine that works there. He said there would be no problem doing a trade. But what do I trade up to? Go back to Eagle LS? Dunlop SP5000? I need performance (because I am spoiled now} but I also need a tire that will last me at least 30k miles. I drive almost 20k a year.
Dude..check your air pressures. Shops usually overinflate those bad boys...sometimes up to 42lbs psi! Drop them to 33F and 32R and then test drive. Then if not happy...trade'em in.
My Yoks were overinflated...rear came right around!! Set it correctly..much better...
I would get a set of Kuhmo MX's or at least the Dunlops you mentioned..
