o.k. I have a contour 96 2.5 and my problems are listed here:

1. (overheating) when i drive whith the a/c turn on, the gauge of temperature is in the A leteer indacator, I check the cooling fan ,and is working good, but i dont not what happen !!!!

2. The fan of the A/C only work in the position number 4 (max).


Please help. me

1) Sounds fine to me. The car isn't overheating unless you get into the RED. Stop and go driving in hot weather with the A/C running puts a good deal of load on the engine's cooling system. Of course, aging coolant will not help things. How long has the coolant been in there?

2) Blower Motor Resistor. Ford issued a Service action on this. It's a $5 part (if that) and quite easy to do yourself. If you still fall within the extended warranty for this part, Ford will fix it for free. Check with your local dealership.
