i Went to the car wash, and it bent the **** out of my power antenna. now it doesnt work. Does anyone know of anyway to take it out so i can bend it back. Or did anyone else suffer this problem.

First of all. welcome to the CEG!  The car washes, where I live, warn of such possibilities and clearly state that they are not liable if the car wash damages such things on your car!  As far as I know, once it is bent severely, you need to replace it. Perhaps you can find one in the scrap yard that will work for you! Good luck and next time go to a touchless car wash or make sure the antenna is down first!  Stephen

yah i think thats really all i can do. i just forgot it was up. Not only that but i do a better job when i wash it myself. It sucks because i just got the car. oh well

If it was bent slightly you could try bending it back gently. If it bent to the point of kinking mast is shot. You can get new mast from Ford, you don't have to replace the whole assembly.

I tried bending it back but it still gets jammed on the way up and down. What is the mast, and how much would it cost?

I just replaced my mast, and it cost $16 from pep boys. It took about 5 minutes to replace.

cool, so should i just go to my local ford dealer to get it done. Is the csvt antenna any different that the other ones?
