I have a cel light that only comes on when the car is first started in the mornings. After the car warms up after awhile the light turns off. The car runs perfect..... Any ideas.

Time to live up to your sig and get your car plugged into a code reader, which is the only way to find the precise cause.

My theory (THEORY) is an O2 sensor. It's not working right until it actually is warmed enough. That is causing the emissions to go out of the acceptable range UNTIL it heats up enough... O2 sensors don't work until hot, did ya know that? Some even have their own internal heater...
Could also be the Cat, as that is heat sensitive too. Cat's don't work until they reach some astronomical temp like 500 or something...

I didn't think that the car started using the O2 sensors for readings until it was up to operating temps.
Use the code reader though. It would be the only way.

This problem sounds like a starting issue, so you might want to check plugs, wires, alternator, battery, or/and starter.

randy The PCM doesn't look at O2 sensor values until the ECT sensor reports a certain coolant temp. Only way to know is to get the code retrieved. -Lance
