Ok...... Here is another dumb problem with my car.... I have a 2000 CSVT. When I am sitting still and reving up the motor quickly with the clutch pushed in too the car starts to push foward..... the clutch is all the was depressed too.... Then sometimes if I am on a hill or have to shift from a fwd gear to reverse its hard to put into gear.... But, the clutch is brand new like only 3500 miles on it. under normal driving conditions the car rides and shifts fine.... I hope I made sence lol......

I am not a transmission expert, but it sounds like either:

- You are low on brake fluid. The clutch hydraulics system and brake hydraulics system are shared by the brake fluid reservoir.
- Your clutch slave cylinder is going (check for leaks)
- Your clutch master cylinder is going (check for leaks)

I don't have an MTX, but another post mensioned the master/slave in the clutch system.

Assuming the systems are similar, I had an old Mazda RX-3 that did this. The seals in the clutch master cylinder were going bad, the aluminum surface inside was also getting pitted so fluid leaked past & the clutch would slowly engage no matter what. The hydraulics for the clutch & brakes were separate in the Mazda.

It was not difficult to replace them with new units, but there was a LOT more room under the hood than on the 'Tour.

Anybody else???

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

I had the exact same issue with my 99 SVT. With only 16K miles on it, the dealer (very reluctantly) replaced the flywheel and throw-out bearing. Fixed the problem. I would highly recommend looking into a warped flywheel issue.
