i think we have been seeing fuel pumps fail on these cars...maybe its something that we have to think of as preventative maintainance along with waterpump and so on....


95 contour se...dark blue...monsterflow air filter...remanuf atx...wiring harness recall or bust!!!96k miles...motorcraft awsf32pp plugs & red ford racing 9mm wires...kvr black plated cross-drilled rotors & carbon fiber pads...currently undergoing renovation...excuse our dust!!!

^ bump..any more ideas?

I checked the crank angle sensor..and it seemed tight...

I will keep you guys updated on its behavior.

Well...I think I have to give the prize to Big Jim. He told me since my check engine light wasn't going out when cranking...that my crank position sensor or cam position sensor wasn't reading.

I checked the crank position sensor...and it seemed tight. However I gave it a good twist and pushed in on it for extra measure.

Sure enough, it hasn't done it again in two weeks! It was doing it every other day....until I checked the sensor plug.

This one was a huge surprise to me. I will keep everyone posted.
