Anyone else had the fsvt brakes sheer off the mounting bolts? and for that person(s) who have had it sheer off, any news on it?

It was I... and let me tell you how fast a 3000lb car will stop with the top of your caliper wedged to the inside of the wheel!

Since the repair they have been fine. I used washers that were evidently too small in diameter and surface area. The load pulled the threads off the top bolt and caused quite a comotion. The bottom bolt remained and was majorly stressed. I can post a pic of it tomorrow (I know I have said that b4 but I really will... )

I don't think it will be a problem again. Just stick to a washer that is larger then the tab(s) on the nuckle. Just to be safe I also used longer bolts and a little bit of thread locker.

My car has since seen a track day were my combo of FSVT fronts, stock rears, stainless lines and synpower fluid held up great with no fade all day!! I could really late brake and the pedal feel is awesome.

My only complaint is the amount of dust that comes off those stock FSVT pads. They are REALLY messy. The 300mm front rotors also make your stock rears look really small!!!

How do you like the stopping power? I think the brakes are great.

well actually... i did some tests and pulled some snazzy numbers. on my stock 260mm brakes i pulled 1.02Gs while braking from 45 and 0.95Gs while braking with my new brakes, there are a bundle of things that could be the cause of that, but there are plenty of cool things about them
