I have a very annoying rattle under the defroster panel. I was also thinking about installing a set of tweeters in it. Just wondering if anyone knows how to remove that panel. Thanks Tim

pop the little circle out (it will probably get mangled) then undo the screw.

Depending on the size of your tweeters, you may need to make new panels. Smaller tweeters can fit in by cutting a hole with a keyhole saw on a drill, then trimming as needed. I had to make new panels out of fiberglass.

I think that's just clipped on. It should come off with a tug. Maybe wait on that until someone else can tell you. I don't even know where the Contour I owned is anymore so I can't just go outside and look
