I got a high flow magnaflow cat for $80 on their website. I just got one with open ends and had a friend weld it in for me. I don't know the website off hand, but a search engine should bring up lots of links.

I have a ShoShop Y-pipe and I am hearing some rattling when the car is running.. I am sure it is exhaust related cause the rattle changes when I rev or let off the gas. I have a smog check coming up soon so I need to get this squared away. I checked previously and it sounds like it is coming from drivers side of the car.. below the air filter area.. couldnt take a good look.. but will soon. Any ideas? If it is the cat is there a good aftermarket hiflow one to use?
Thanks CEG.

I believe the sho-shop ypipe uses a dual inlet main cat. You can get a replacement from http://discountconverter.com/
I'm not sure of the pipe sizes on your setup, but they have a good selection and good prices. I'm using a dual in, single out, Dynomax superconverter on my modified Y that is similar to the sho shop setup.

Well.. a little update here. I was pulling out of the gas station last weekend and I got on it a little.. looked back and there was greyish smoke! I freaked out so I pulled in across the street into a parking lot.. gave it a few revs and the smoke went away.. so did the rattle. I found a some small chunks of something in the tail pipes. Seems the cat totally went away.

I sent an email to ShoShop about it and asked what their warranty is on their cat and y-pipe.

This totally sucks.. looks like I am going to have to put the stocker back on to get my car smogged.. cause I have a feeling this wont get settled anytime soon.
