Could a cam shaft positon sensor make a car have a starting problem if it is malfunctioning? I have intermittanct starting problems and i was wondering if this cam shaft sensor could be messing things up a bit from time to time when i try to start the car. The car engine cranks but wont turn over. If anyone could help thanx

I dont' think it your sensor.. If its turning I think it would be fuel or fire. Check those.

Cam pos sensor was the first thing I had to replace on my car-I don't remember any difficulty starting, between the CEL and getting it fixed (few days). It's a cheap ($30) and easy (5 minutes on the passenger side of the engine) fix, though. But like I said, I've never had trouble starting because of it.

The Cam shaft sensor controls ignition, if it is broke you will not get spark, but you should get a code for it.
