OK, so i'm watching speedvision at work, the sport touring 200 or something, didn't catch where the track is at.
but at first when i noticed it's raining and all the cars have their windows down, usually i've noticed these type of cars are all stock, but it just caught me off guard.you would think that keeping the windows up would keep the car aerodynamic and not suck in air with the windows open

and after watching for a while they started showing the rest of the field and there was a grey BMW in 3rd place with it's top off. ITS'S RAINING WTF!!

ok i guess i'm showing my knowledge in racing but why would they do this?

I believe windows down is a safety thing. I know when we ran at Gingerman for SZ02 we were told we had to have our windows down. I think it has somehting to do with being able to get out in an emrgency or maybe to keep glass shards from flying into your face in the event of a bad crash....just some guesses.

it's just the new BMW M4, it comes in conv. that's why the top was down but it had the thick cage in it, i haven't seen the car yet with a hard top, so i don't think that it was supposed to have a hard top, the cage in it was heavily modded for it. so, it's all good.
