Yes I chose the kkm and I am satisfied. The last part isn't entirely acurate but whatever, you win. Marky wins. Thanks for all your great and helpful insight.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

Are you two guys done beating each other up over semantics??? KKM...K&N...KY...who gives a s**t??? As long as you are satisfied with how your dollars were spent, what else matters?? Now both of you play nice, or you are both getting a time out....

Where has everyone bought their K&N RU-3850? Did you order it online or did you just go to Discount Auto Parts or NAPA and order it there? I see that somebody got theirs for $33 but what is actually a good price. I have a KKM (I bought it in 99 before it was commonly known to really suck, pun intended) and I want to upgrade. Thanks!

Wow DeomonSVT! I also bought my KKM before anyone knew better. And honestly I haven't been disapointed. If you want to have a debate with someone about which is better that is fine, but don't start calling us lazy for buying a KKM. After all if we hadn't had people buy it & give us their response we wouldn't know it was inferior unless we bought it our selves. I don't mean to point you out, because I know others do it too, but you really should try to avoid the general statements. You seem like a pretty smart guy & I guess I just expected more from a guy who has really been great for the CEG.

True most people don;t care, but there are still a lot of people out here that want the best for there car. I am one of them. And personaly, i would rather find out fist what works and what doesn;t, before its on my car. But get one thing, everyone who has "taken a chance" and tried something new, i respect.
But, over all, if you want the best you put the best on, if your happy with what you got thats cool too in my opinion. But the majority of people on here seem to want to get the most out of there car, hence the word "Enthusiasts" in the title. So until they change the title to "Contour Group", im going to search for and reconmend the best products for our cars.
Some people take this site seriously...i do too but im more laied back.

Shop vac hose is like 2 1/2" and can be run up through the fender liner and into the engine bay to deliver outside air right where you need it. Put in a heat shield to keep the cool air around the intake from getting heated up.

Exactly Scott! Looked at your pics, very similar to what I have, except the hose feeds the filter area. Great job on your car.
