So there's bad cops out there, but there's bad <insert any profession here> out there. I understand that Police are in a position of authority, but bad accountants (Enron) can screw over a lot more people just as easily. People that say [censored] the police, or I hate pigs (unless you really do hate pigs, perhaps because of some childhood incident  ) or crap like that disgust me. I suppose they'd like it better were there no police. People are quick to open their mouths but not smart enough to think about what they're saying.

Jesus, cut cops some slack. I know there are some bad ones, but they are still the ones risking their lives for you every day, whether you call them or not. Do a ride along sometime, it will change your perspective on things. I have done a few, normal patrols, warrants, etc. You dont ever know who is good and who is bad, who is a criminal and who is a guy on the way to work, who is armed and who isnt, or who will stay calm or try to kick your ass for writing them a ticket. Anything could happen at any time. Just wearing a uniform makes you a target for some sh!t head to shoot at. Anyway, just my rant. Power hungry cops are bad news, but stop lumping the majority of cops in with them. Just remember all the things they do for you everyday, without being called to do so. Stop hating them when you have no idea what its like.

"I smell bacon, i smell pork, run piggy piggy cause i got a fork!"

First of all, the second you try to take a cops gun is the last second that you will spend on this earth. And, on the off chance that you do get his gun, most cops carry backup weapons. So, you might get a few more seconds before two rounds of metal are pumped into your chest. Besides, taking a cops gun, no matter if you are trying to empty his magazines or shoot him, is a felony in most if not all states. You would have been charged with that, at least.
Second of all, Miranda only applies to custodial interrogations. Therefore, if they were "beating you down", they don't have to read you your rights unless they are asking you questions while they are "beating you down".
Makes for a nice story, though.
LMAO...lol.....See you don;t know a thing about me...when i was grouwing up i humg out with my uncle all the time...Well see he is a NAv SEAl and a 4th degree black belt.
When i was 10 he started me in martial arts, im right now a 2nd degree black belt and i have quit martial arts, but i still practice my skills...and considering i trained harder the the rookie that asulted me, thats the only reason i disarned him. you can call all the BS you want, but i know what is true in my heart and soul. ANd this is one story that IS true. you can hate all you want cause it won;t phase me.

He didn't say you coudln't take his gun, he said that if you had you wouldn't be here to talk about it, and that's for damn sure. If you even act like you're going to reach for a cops gun he's gonna shoot your ass point-blank, then do it again just for good measure.

How did you manage to disarm a police officer without getting shot ? Good f'ing job, is all I can say. Cops don't need to beat people that they already have pinned down and restrained, nor do they need to abuse their authority. There are ways of solving situations without overwhelming force. Peace at the end of a gun is no peace at all. An eye for an eye, is all I can say.
What really sucks, as mentioned in the original thread post, is that one of the female friends you (the original poster) were with ran her mouth off and got you beatup. Women are supposed to be "more mature," but many seem to act without any degree of common sense at all.

Fluid.. I don't know you. I'm not judging you. But, obviously you've never been in a situation of heightened stress. Cops are trained to take a bad situation, and attempt to end it, with whatever means are needed within reason.

Um... if it were going to break skin, it would have broken immediately. I've had skin broken by MANY things, and it's immediate, it doesn't happen afterwards. Sounds to me (and may sound to others) like you were playing with your wounds to increase their severity for more money. I'm not saying you DID, I'm just saying how it sounds. I've also had friends who have had stickfighting matches (rattan sticks, Escrima for those that know their fighting arts), and the bruises THEY had, with padding, were much worse than what you have in the pictures. Hard head or not, if you had been hit with a solid MagLite, you'd have been split open pretty well. Don't get me started on their batons. If this all went down the way you said it did, attempting to turn around on the cop was a VERY bad and VERY stupid move on your part. What's to indicate to them that you're not trying to attack them? You also state that the bruises are green. They weren't very deep bruises. If the type of force the cops use in these spots was, in fact, used, you'd be a shade somewhere between crimson and purple for a few days before turning green. Looks to me like you got into a bar fight and lost, getting smacked off the sidewalk on your way out.
To the one who "disarmed" the cop, I want to know what he was carrying, the type of holster, and what you did to "disarm the gun." I seriously doubt your story. Also, your dad being a SEAL probably wouldn't like the idea of you going around bragging about it. Go tell him the "piggy" phrase, and, if he's truly a SEAL, with the honor and respect they have, he'll smack you so hard you'll wind up in next week. He should also place you into a better school. Your English is atrocious.

Everyone has their own opinion about the police. Mine is that they are out fighting for us daily, keeping the streets clean. There is always that one bad cop that makes the others look bad. The town I live in police officers do like to get carried away. For instance I was doing 15 MPH over the posted speed limit. Ripped out of the car and thrown straight into handcuffs. He then asks, "why were you going 55 MPH in a 40 MPH zone?" I say, "out of stupidity, sorry." He then calms down takes me out of the cuffs and writes me a $150 speeding ticket. Of course that was the shortened version, but the main point was given. I do not look at the other cops in my town the same way as I do him, because we are all different. One cop can reflect on the other crew though. That's what this cop did with you. Hope he is disciplined for his unlawful doings. Good luck.

Good thing you're alright; you better fight this till you can afford to buy 10 SVT Contour's with the settlement! Also those cops shouldnt have badges. Their supposed to keep the peace not beat someone for a radio; that's BS I dont care what the hell they say. We as U.S. citizans and WE pay their salary! They have no RIGHT to lay a hand on us; while we remain in the obvious of non terrorism or causing harm to others.  NEVER hurt the hands that feeds you.
