Differential pressure feedback EGR sensor = DPFE sensor. It's also called EGR pressure transducer. Measures pressure in EGR exhaust manifold tube at two points to deduce flow thru' EGR valve to intake manifold.
I find it hard to believe they did not suggest EGR valve just to complete their "it could be any one of these parts" diagnosis. I personally would go elsewhere for diagnosis.
p.s. How bad is the hesitation and did check engine light come on coincident with hesitation symptoms?

The hesitation is really noticable when the a/c is on. I did have a CEL then it went off? Im thinking of starting with o2 and maf.....

Ask the service center their reasoning for replacing those parts. If they acquired CEL (check engine light) codes with an OBD-II scanner, then ask them what the codes are. Then repost your question with the answers and you will probably get more feedback.

The untrained monkeys at some of these Ford dealers really bug me. My 98 Service CD (a tool that every Ford dealer should have at their disposal) goes through step by step diagnosis for every OBD-II code and when followed will result in a precise diagnosis down to the actual failed part. Nowhere do I see instructions that say to replace a whole slew of sensors. But then again, the manufacturer's instructions aren't trying to rip off people who don't know any better either.
I know there are good Ford dealerships out there (Big Jim is proof of that), but they are few and far between. I'm just glad I have a mechanic that I trust if I come across a job I can't do myself.
Come back with the code, and I'll be more than happy to publish the instructions from my service CD for you.
