Soory if this is a daft question....

I'm currently running 205/50 Tyres on 16x6.5 rims on my Aussie spec mondeo

Anyone got any ideas what will happen to clearance between the suspension etc if i go to 215/50?

I know it will increase overall diameter slightly and put the speedo (slightly) out, but is the width likely to be a problem (i assume not, given i've seen a few around with 215/45 on 17" wheels running around. They were lowered too...that might have to wait for me! $$$$$)

Thanks

G'Day Mate.
If anything go to a 225/45R16 tire. That way you'll keep close to the rolling diameter and get the benefit of a wider tire!

PS I run 22/40R18's and have no issue with the width.
