Whenever I turn the steering wheel there is a clunking noise coming from the driver's side front tire. It may be the suspension but also could be a shot c.v joint. What are other symptoms of a bad c.v joint. Thanks-Brandon

A worn CV joint will make a clunking or grinding sound when you turn the wheel while moving or accelerating and the clunking sound will increase in frequency as your speed increases. If you are not moving you won't hear any sound from a worn CV joint unless it's real bad.

Other things to check are the wheel lug nuts to make sure they are properly torqued and not loose.

cv joints usually only make noise in the direction of turning on the worn side. right turn-right cv, left turn-left side. suspension wise could be tie-rods, sway bar links, strut,control arm problems.
