SVT vs. GLI is a toss up at that track. The SVT pulls a little bit on the straight, but the GLI eats it up into the corners as I can go way deeper before braking and hold more speed into the corner. Thank you Falken Azenis. Once past the apex the SVT uses it's HP to pull back a bit of an advantage..until the next corner. After 5 laps of close running we decided to call it a stalemate. Timing thruout the day had both of us running low 1:30's. I need new front stuts and a swap to my other springs, Chad needs better tires. There will be a rematch.
My GLI was the fastest VW there lap time wise
so that means Chad's SVT was faster than the rest of the Dubs. Cars we both got beat by: S2000, several E36 M3's (one turbo'd), some sick DSM's, most of the Porsche's. Cars we beat: E30 325is on race tires, EP Vette (bad driver), all the other VW's, Focus w/suspension.
Second Creek charged us $48 for 4 hours of open track time since we had 5 people in our group. Normal rates are $60 for 4 hours or $100 for the day.
