Hey Guys and girls...I need help.
I've got a 96 mystique 2.0L ATX. The car is equiped with these day time lights and I can't get them off. I went to the drive in and they won't shut off. I tried the e-brake but if the ignition is in the start position, the lights stay on no matter what I do. There's nothing in the service manual about this. Can anyone help me with this? Maybe I can pull a fuse or something? Let me know, Thanks.

look in the owners manual and see what relay controls it in the power dist. box(the plastic box right by the battery( where your main fuses are located under the hood)....

I actually installed daytime running lights about a year ago. it seemed like a cool thing to do at the time. Took em out about two weeks ago, just went to my local junkyard and grabbed one of those stupid little bars from another Tour.

Actually it's a safe thing to do. Proven (in Sweden, IIRC) to reduce chances of having oncoming drivers from having head-on collisions with you. Of course driving with headlights on in daylight, when you remember, accomplishes the same thing.

True, in the winter I could see the need, but here during the summer it's pretty clear so I'm not too worried about it. I actually installed them when the Fake HID phase was going on, I was hoping they would be bluer and look nice during the day. But at around half the watts of regular high beams they were still white.
Another reason I took them out is becuase I have a remote starter on my car and I thought they looked really stupid with the parking lights when I started my car from inside the house.
So I guess I installed them mostly for looks and didn't like the outcome. Thats probably one of the only things I've ever done to my car and wanted to change.
