Thank you in advance for anyone willing to put in their .02 on this topic.

Here is the scoop.

I am on my way into work, and it was a tad chilly out. So I kick on my heater while moving. I get to a light and stop. The idle drops to about 500 and is somewhat jerky (best word I can think of). Now usually it will raise the RPMs a little when the heater or air is on. I am unsure what is going on.

My normal idle is about 800.

I did a search here but couldn't find much relating to this topic.

Thank you again for reading this.

Did you have it on defrost?

Think I had it on the defrost/floor one.

Never done anything like this before though.

Thanks Pollo_loco69.

When the you have the HVAC set to defrost it turns on the A/C compressor, which puts a fairly large draw on the engine. Which may explain why it was having a hard time idling at the normal rpm.

Have any idea why it would start doing that all of a sudden?

Worked great up until today.

Thanks 95!

I will have to make some time during work today to do some reading. I noticed it was pretty long.
