This problem started about 3 days ago, and I've been spending my commute troubleshooting the problem.

It appears as if I have some sort of short circuit somewhere. Sometimes (not always) when I add load to the electrical circuit, either through turning on my headlights or braking or turn signal, I get a momontary loss of power (about 1 second in lenght). Sometimes my radio will just go out, and then come back on. Sometimes the engine dies for that one second, sometimes both.

In troubleshooting I have found this to be sparatic, happens whether my lights are on or off, happens whether my fogs are on or off. Haven't noticed this occur when I use my HVAC at all, yet.

Only thing I could think of was that it had to do with my recent PIAA 510 installation into my OEM wiring. However, I did this about 3 weeks ago, and the problem just started about 3 days ago. Was not a problem prior to this.

Any help you can offer would be great. I just don't know why the power would cut out for only one second.

Thanks,
Zack

If it affects multiple circuits at the same time, it could be a loose/bad connection at the battery or leading into the fuse box. Might want to clean and tighten your battery connections and then check are reseat all the fuses and relays. Try to isolate it to one or more circuits, or maybe it's ALL circuits. This information will help to isolate the cause.

Sounds like a c.b. (circuit breaker) activating and then re-setting.
The only one I'm aware of on Contiques is for w/wipers. If you're not original owner maybe someone has switched c.b. for a fuse.
As a first step I would check fuse position 20 on interior panel to see if its a c.b., if not see if it has been relocated elsewhere.

Turned out the problem was at the battery terminals. Thanks again for your help.
