I recently noticed I had a leak in one of my a/c hoses.

The hose is located right above the cooling fans in the front of the car and has a spout with a cap coming out.

Is this the line connecting the a/c condensor to the compressor.

Sorry I'm such a dork.
Any help would be apreciated.

This is the low pressure side, fitting is closest to the battery side of the line. They leaked on both of my Tours. Stop leak stopped the leak and I add some oil to the system to replace the lost lube. They also leaked a little where the hose is crimped to the line on the compressor. Cheap BadYear hoses. Furd really had some great quality control!
Only other problem I had with the A/C is a bad compressor clutch relay. It acted like low pressure problem; contacts were shot. 40 amp relay only costs 9 bucks.
Ford seems to be out of them a lot according to local parts guy and Bill in Vegas. Same relay used for R window defogger and starter relay.

The part options doesn't list a low pressure line. Here are the options:
discharge hose(compressor to condensor)I guessing it's that one.
suction hose(
and liquid line(accumulator to evaporater)

It's located at the front of the engine on the top right side.(The Longest hose)

So is this the discharge hose (hose that connects the compressor to condensor)????

I need to know so I can order the right part.

who is gonna fix it when you get the parts??? do you have the service tools to take the hoses apart??? how about a vacuum pump to get the air out the system?????.. if you got to ask those questions then it seems you gonna have problems even with the correct part... sorry, but with all the info and the parts laying around waiting to be repaired you(anyone) could still have problems unless you know the principle of refrigeration and what part is what and what it does in the system.....

Hose runs from the suction accumulator/drier to the compressor. Has the cycling switch attached to it. High side mainly runs along the right fender. You will need to buy the special tools to open the fittings - after you discharge the system. When it is all over you will need a vacuum pump to draw the air and moisture out of the system. I would try the stuff they sell at Wally Mart that cleans/seals/conditions/lubes the system. Kept mine running for many years. My A/C gets run almost year around. For those of you that live in the GWN, during the off season run the A/C for a minute or two about once every week or two. This keeps the seals wet so they will not dry out.

Thanks guys.
I am having a client of mine install the hose and recharge the system.

Ford wanted $170 for the part and I found it for $90.
