1. Where can i get the CEL code checked out, and does this cost $?

2. Need a new foglight. Do they normally have them in stock at places like Autozone? Also, do you take them out from underneath the front or under the hood?

Check out http://www.contour.org/FAQ/FAQ.cgi?s=probs&display=checkengine for information on retrieving CEL codes.

NOTE: Make sure that you notice the difference between OBD-I (pre-1996) and OBD-II (1996+) models. Also, OBD=OnBoard Diagnostics.

An OBD-II code read should cost anywhere from about $50 to $80. From an independent shop to the Ford dealer. You may have the plain OBD, which can be read w/o a scan tool.

about the fog lights, they are taken out from under the car, you should see two little "doors" under the front around the air-dam. Open them up and you'll see the back of each light. Unplug the power cord and twist each bulb out.
Yes they have them at Autozone. I think the passeneger's is easy, the drivers can be a reach, but you shouldn't have too many problems.
