Hey guys...I am going in tomorrow to the "friendly" Ford dealer for the mounting of 4 tires and a 4 wheel alignment...I have the tires...so all I need is for them to mount them and give the car the 4 wheel alignment....any idea on how much Ford will charge for this? I have heard its ALOT....and I was just wondering.....THANKS

There's a saying "if you have to ask the price you can't afford it".

Why would you want to go to a dealer to install & balance tires and have a wheel alignment. I'm sure any tire dealer or independent garage would give you the same work for a better price.

A normal tire place will charge like $8 a tire for mounting and spin balancing. A 4 wheel alignment was like $59 at NTB last time I had mine aligned.

Most places will charge you more if they are not selling you the tires. For instance the place I went to charged $8.50 per tire for m&b but would have been like double that if I had ordered tires from tirerack and had they mounted them.

I'd sure ask the dealer what they are going to charge before you go that route.

I'd expect to pay $15-20 (not at a dealer) for mounting, balancing, valve stem, and disposal of old tires...if I was supplying the tires.

Any normal tire place should charge between $100 - $150. Ford will probably stick you for $250.

Just as an FYI

I had 4 tires mounted, balanced and the old tires disposed of, plus a 4 wheel alignment for $125.00 at a Ford Dealer.

my ford dealer charges $59.99 for a 4-wheel alignment. shouldn't cost you more than $120 for everything.

THANKS GUYS....I'll let you know....I am going in an hour....I expected it to be 100.00 to 150.00 so we shall see....I know I have talked to a couple people that got it all for like 90.00 but that was a specialty place....I am in a pretty small town and I do not trust the little tiresd shops....(I have horror stories let me tell you) but YES...I know its sad when even FORD dealerships look good.... :| but thanks for the info....

Actually, those smaller places work on their reputation of the quality of work, and sometimes do a much better job than the big places that rely on their widely known name. I took tires to a local place, mount/balance/stem for $7 a piece. 4 Wheel alignment for $50.
