Ok...so here I was thinkin I was gonna get to put my car in the show this past weekend in Decatur, but that just DIDNT happen. Havent been on in a coupla days, all stressin n stuff. My car has gone CAPUT! Come to find out, our little factory security system, a.k.a PATS system has caused my car to die. I put it in the shop tomorrow, and I gotta spend money I aint got to get it fixed. My car just dont like Decatur though, cause last 2 times I went there, my car died on me. But anyways, the transponder system thats a part of the pats system has gone bad, and my car wont read my keys, so it just wont crank. Funny thing is (not really funny) is both times it died, my car was being driven. This last time I was at Wal-Mart waitin for this lady to pull outta the spot and hubby had to push it into the spot cause it died before we could pull in. Word of advice, if your drivin around and your security light starts flashin while drivin, STOP THE CAR!! and get it to the dealer. Wish me luck on gettin my baby fixed. I use it for work, and without my car I cant deliver pizza and make my money..WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

That wicked sucks. My car got dead right around when I first bought it last September. I think it had to do with the alarm. The shop replaced the alternator and it's fine now.  Go figure. Good luck with your broke 'Tour. Did it at least throw up a Contour Enthusiast Light? At least then someone can scan to see what caused the CEL.

Yeah my check engine came on...its goin in shop tomorrow for them to fix it! I hope i get my baby back soon. I love my car :*(

Well at least you got the CEL. Since my alternator blew up, there was no power to run anything inside the car, so I don't know if I got a CEL. No gauges, nuffin. I drove the f!ck out of it before I could go to the shop! No power=no ticks on the odometer.

OUCH!! I was sittin here talkin to joe, and i told him, I just spent $200 the same day it died on 2 new front tires. Its gonna cost me at LEAST $200 to fix.Sux too....

Well we just heard from the Mercury dealer...it is the transponder for sure. Gonna cost me $265...YUCK! I should have it back by tomorrow or wednesday....i hope!Com eto find out, when i spent over $500 earlier this year for the place who DAMAGED my fender...the didnt do a diagnostic on it, so i coulve saved myself some issues..The could never figure out the problem, and i still had to pay for other stuff, the the dealer said probably didnt even need replacing. Maybe I should call these people and threaten to sue them, and tell them that they couldve fixed it months ago.Stupid morons. For those of you who ever pass a WILKS TIRE AND BATTERY store, DONT GOOOOOOOOOOO!!! They are truly morons of another breed. I think the rest of the breed was thought to have become extinct, but i guess not.

I have real problems with people who screw cars up. If you don't know how to do something, DON'T DO IT!
Good to know the car will be fixed...don't worry, if you are game, we will go to Alabama Jubilee May 24, puposely park near the classic car car show and watch what happens.
