Same here in the States: Ford vs. Chevy.

And to let you know, Chevrolet, Opel and Vauxhall are all from GM, but you probably already knew that.

yeah but living here think i would quite like a chevy
turn more heads than a mondeo !

Only a couple Chevy's I can think of. (Corvette, Camaro, or maybe some of that 60's American muscle... $2 a liter, baby, Yeah!)

I agree, it's not fair to put the 2.0l Vectra against the D'tec.
Over here, VX (GM) do a GTE version that has a V6 2.5l, 195bhp and over 200lbs torque, this is against the Mondeo ST200 and does give it a good race to about 120, then the ST leaves it (believe me )
VX also did a limited number of ST vectra's, these were 3.0l and about 230bhp, very scarce and I've never raced one.
There's now a 3.0l GTE version which competes with the new Mondeo ST220, I think it has about 230bhp and bags more torque.

The Vectra GSi(GTE) is 217 hp and heavier than the 226hp ST220 so it doesn't stand a chance!
