i have a small small small chip in my windshield, not even noticeable unless on outside, u'd think it's a spec of dirt. do I NEED to get it repaired? if i do NEED to, about how much would it run me? i've heard of some chips turning into cracks, but this chip is pretty small, bout the size of 2 or 3 medium ball point pen tips. thankz.

I'd say get it fixed now before it goes any farther. Not saying that it will, but it'll be cheaper to fix it than get a new windshield later on. The glass repair place around here charges approx $50 canadian to fix chips. When its done, you can't even tell there was anything there.

Check your insurance policy - some of them provide a free fix to it w/ that sealer schtuff to prevent cracking and a windshield replacement. Well, on second thought, that's for rock hits (small spider webs), but it's worth looking into. Do it before that GA heat gets too hot!

i'll check into it, but i only pay $50 a month for basic insurance, so i doubt they'll do it.

whatever u do get it fixed pretty quick...i had a small stone chip and turned into a pretty long crack and eventually a fixit ticket...by the time i checked around it was beyond repair costing me 325 for a new windshield on my gti

Yeah... i had a small chip turn into a crack that ran 3/4 of the way across the windshield... fix it ASAP!
