I was waiting for someone to post about a possible discrepancie. It was a Cobra, but after thinking about it today I realized that they did not make a Cobra in 00', but in 99' correct? It was a Cobra, and he was spraying, but he was on street tires which may have made it difficult to hook. I'm sure it was a Cobra....amber in the tails, reversed vented hood(opposite of the GT), and the rear bumper had the COBRA indention. It "could" have been a GT, but I don't think someone would go through all that trouble to replicate a "stock" Cobra when they could easily upgrade beyond it's specs.
Besides, I only ran him once.....he could've had a bad run, but hey I was right there with him... Spectators probably enjoyed it....I would've!!

Were you running an Iced-up intercooler, or just normal water?

I tried icing up the cooler, but times remained the same due to the tires not "accepting" more power . The car was definitely more powerful, but that resulted in more spin out of the hole. I'm telling you, ice, 7psi, and some drag radils should make for some good times. Even 5psi with DR's would be sick! We'll see.
How is you car coming Tom? Bet you can't wait to get that thing running again!

Yep. The motor is back in the car, as of yesterday.
The transmission is going to be awesome now! Spec stage3, torsen, and I also installed all the new updated shift rods from the focus zetec MTX. Knowledge coutesy of Terry Haines...a big thank you to him. The car shifts like a knife in butter right now, or course that is with it just sitting there, I can't drive it until my chip gets back here!!
I'll post a good write-up with part numbers about the transmission later.

Did what happen? Oh....I ordered the drag radials today. 7psi and drag radials=possible broken axles.

I don't think you will have any problems with broken axles. The drag radials are not going to hook that well. I still had to be very careful when I used them or my SVT would just spin the tires. Considering that your car currently has about 50 horsepower more than mine, I think you would have been much better off with a true slick.

True slick did not fit into my "criteria". The Tour is my second car, I don't like mixing wheels/sizes, and I like driving on at least 17" rubber at all times, so the 225/45/17's will go on my Superlegerra's to be driven on until they wear out. Then I'll have a better idea of what dr's do on my car....possible Falken Azenis sports next time??? The BF's are quite a bit softer than the Nitto's....I've seen/touched/experienced both tires...the BF hooks better. 50 more hp on 5psi, but also 60 ft. lbs. of wtq....plus I plan on running more than 5psi...now that I'll be able to put more to the ground. Thanks for the assurance of axle strength. I knew you were among the only people to be using dr's, so I was waiting for you to chime in....thanks!
