well i got an email today with my invoice # for my Stryke av's so the subs should be sent out pretty soon. now its time for an amp. im stuck on which to get. right now im not sure if i should get a mono amp or a 2ch. amp. im going to be having 2 subs. i was looking at the Lanzar VIBE268 2000 watt 2ch amp or the Power Acoustik 1600 WATT 2 CH AMP and the LANZAR VIBE 1200D mono amp. what it boils down to is which is better to get, a 2ch or a mono. im looking to stick with those 2 brands my friend can get em pretty cheap. thanks guys

Of those 3, I'd pick the 1200D.

It's stable down to 1ohm, consistently produces more than its rated for on bench tests, and appears pretty reliable for a Lanzar product.

I know you want to stay with those two brands but you can get a JBL PB1200.1 which is a 1 channle amp that has 2 hook ups meaning you can run more then one sub. it runs at 1ohm 2ohm or 4 ohms. You can find it on www.ikesound.com or www.sounddomain.com and i think its only $275. If its not an option forget i responded.

Would you consider buying a used amp? If so check out ebay, for 200.00 there are plenty of really nice amps you can get. I just bought some of the old ppi art series amps for a good price and I couldn't be happier. On the downside, if it breaks, most likely there is no warranty. Thats the chance you take. I would highly recommend the PPI A600.2 which would be more than enough power for the 2 subs your getting. They can be had on ebay for around 200.00 in good shape.

well that JBL would be much better than any of the brands you listed. You may want to look at Crunch amps as well if you are on a budget. You could get the JBL 600.1 for like 190-200 from ikesound and that will push 300 watts a sub at 2 ohm. JBL makes some very nice mono amps

Actually... It's 600w at 2ohms (or 1ohm) and 300w at 4ohms. You're right, though, JBL does make some nice mono sub amps.

Yeah I know it pushes 600@2ohm...thats why I stated 300 watts A SUB at 2 OHM, since he wants to push 2 subs.

I use the JBL 600.1 mono block pushing two Infinity Kappa Perfect twelve's and am very happy with the performance, bang for the buck. However back to your question I would recommend going with the mono block amp.

Good luck!
