OP SVTnKC_dup1 Veteran CEG\'er S Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 511 kansas City MO	OK... What could be the problem... maybe.. like the plasic peice that directs the air... or what! When i turn my AC on Vent, it blows out the Defrost; i turn it on my feet, it blows out the Defrost... The heat as well!~!???? Common Problem..? Minor or Major? Anything or Anyone could be useful! THANKS MY TOYS 98.5 Black/Midnight Blue SVT 2003 Yellow Honda CBR 600 RR 2004 Green/wht. Yamaha 740XL Waverunner Waiting on a hood, to see what my next step is for the SVT.

jspegg_dup1 New CEG\'er J Joined: May 2002 Posts: 10 Oklahoma	I had the exact same problem.Here what to look for.get down in the driver side floor board and look up under the dash where the a/c controls are radio all that stuff.There will be a litte metal Vacum can with some hose's running to it that is the vacum acuator it has an arm comming out of it with a hole in the end if you turn it to defrost and then back the a/c vent it will move out and in just in front of it it attaches to a nipple like piece sticking out.the hole at the end of the acuator arm goes over the little nipple sticking out which moves you from defrost to vents.Check it out.

You have lost vacuum at some point from the intake manifold to the climate controls. RayWee CEG\'er R Joined: May 2003 Posts: 131 North Carolina	Ford had a known problem with that vacuum line coming off the vacuum canister that JSpegg mentioned,it usually gets kicked off when you are using the accelerator. (2)1994 mustang GTs 2001 gt convertible loaded.www.haywoodspeed.com

F111D F_dup1 Veteran CEG\'er F Joined: May 2000 Posts: 635 Lucas,Ohio	Several guys have found the vacuum next to the firewall either damaged or disconnected. Locate the area center & under the firewall where the heater hoses connect to the heater and the small vacuum come out and goes upward. The EVR, evaporator cnister ckt share the same Black vacuum line on the manifold. Note the vacuum diagram under the hood. Paul Paul 98 Mystique LS 2ea (07/97)(08/98)
