Whats the deal am i the only one with this problem? Accoarding to Autobytel.com theres a recall for this in 99? Anyone else have this problem?

I have a '97 and had a similar problem in 2000. The rheostat (light switch) was recalled. On my old one the connection shown signs of getting too hot and burning on the connectors. Just FYI my air conditioning controls did this as well.

I have had this as well Ford did the recall on the headlamp switch. They told me that even though the harness had melted the headlight switch they wouldn't replace it. Their reasoning, it worked most of the time. :rolleyes: I made sure to let my heater switch get nice and toasty. This way they will replace it. Its to the point now that you can't turn the selector switch for fan speed. I think that qualifies as being broken.

I brought it to a Non SVT dealer and they said that there wasn't a recall for it?
is it pre 98 models? thanks
