If you're cutting and reconnecting wires, use butt connectors. There's no better way (aside from solder) to ensure a good, protected connection.

okay now I'm like 90% convinced there has to be something wrong with my computer...

I've gotten a new little piece from my intake sensor, spliced it together good...and made sure my intake is on there good.

the reason I say this is because every time I "reset" the computer hoping it will learn to work with my intake it seems to run shittier than before...then it will run a little better but still sh!tty...then if I happen to reset the computer it runs all crappy like it did before!

so I must have to have my computer reprogrammed or something (stock chip) because there is no other logical reason for the sluggish driving. Everytime I remove the negative connector from the battery or I remove fuses 4 and 11 that just screwes it up...makes the engine light go off if I ever get one but it runs worse than before.

I don't know what to do, I don't think any place is gonna work on my car with my CTA intake in there...even though I'm not under warranty. Plus, I don't wanna have to pay someone just to look at my car without even doing anything to it.

HELP ME!!!!!

You need to realize that each time you reset it, the computer reverts back to the inital A/F maps. After it learns from running it will run somewhat better. This usually means the computer is GOOD.

In situations like this, it's sometimes best to put the stock intake back on and make sure all the hoses are hooked back up. If it runs OK, there was a leak. Look for any differences in the two setups. The hose from the valve cover to the resonater is required.

If it does not run better, either there is still a leak, or perhaps you damaged or unplugged something. The IAT will give a CEL if it's not hooked up but it will not make your engine run really bad.

You do not need a chip just for an intake tube.

dude, mine did it too, it would want to stall itself out, and wouldnt go unless u floored it, and it jerked around. all u gotta do is drive the thing around.

I drove my car around for a week with my intake installed and it didn't do anything for me......so i have my stock system back in and my car is running great now....I guess our cars hate intakes Whats your computer code. Mine is DJK4, maybe ours are similar and thats why intakes are crappy on our cars.

mine is djk9 and my homemade intake and CTA intake both worked greeeeaaat.

the thing is it worked good BEFORE I reset the computer with the intake already installed...I reset it hoping the check engine light would go off and after I did that it went off but the car has been runnin [censored] ever since then...I don't know what to do.

okay well my car broke down last night and wouldn't start...its in the shop now.

I hope its an easy fix
