When I turn on my A/C I notice my car kind of lurch's. This happens when I am driveing at any speed, or coasting with out my foot on the gas. Any sugggestions would be helpfull. For now I am just opening the sunroof and windows insted of using the A/C. confused

The throttle hang fix cured this problem for me. If you have a V6 it is worth a try. It would also be wise to confirm that the throttle body and idle air control valve are clean. See Ray McNary's write up in the FAX to learn about the throttle hand fix. Of course I'm assuming that the air is working properly and that you are not having the A/C clutch cycling frequently due to low refrigerant or a bad pressure switch.

The air is still ice cold. Would the throttle hang only happen when my A/C is on though?

Hi,

Lot of folks don't like the A/C cycling. Here's a link to a fix...It's kind of involved, but works like a charm!

I'm not sure if I would call what you are experiencing "throttle hang". It is, however, the idle control working against the idle you want so I guess in that way it is a sort of "throttle hang" even if it not the classic definition. The A/C being on causes the processor to try to somewhat lift the idle speed, and I think that it just does it a little too much. It is very cheap and easy to try, so try it and see if it works for you. It works for me.
