Using a volt meter what is it supposed to read whne I probe the the two posts on the battery while the car is idling?
14-16? I just want to see if the charging systems is working properly.

Thanks

Also would a bad coil+misfires trigger the battery light to flicker and come on then off?

I seem to recall checking mine at one point and it was around 14.2 volts while at idle

Battery volts, engine off 12.5 (serves as meter check).
Battery volts, engine on 13.5 - 14.5 (under 13, over 15 cause for concern).
