How do you know that the CEL is caused by the EGR. I could be just your O2 sensors. MY CEL acted up and the dealership said my O2's were gone. The funny thing is I have the same O2's in my car and I don't have a CEL any more. If it is your EGR, I had that code as well at one point and time, you should check you vacume lines to the EGR and all the lines at the back of the UIM. Thy may be old and cracked. That was my problem.
