OP aimee Newbie A Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 8 Ohio	Here is what I am now experiencing with my 96 contour 4 cyl. (I just had the speed sensor and drive pin replaced 3 months ago.) O/D Off light flashing sometimes Hard shifting sometimes extremely loud engine especially when coasting at speeds around 45/50 mph It seems like I'm having to press on the gas harder than usual. Any ideas what might be wrong? Thanks, Aimee

Take it to Autozone and see if anything comes up. Hopefully its something small and simple, like the Vehicle Speed Sensor or similar. Beer is my Gatorade. Hooray Beer. Yeah, take it to Autozone and have that code read, but I hate to say it dear, but when the same thing happened to my Contour, it turned out to be the torque converter in the tranny went out.
