I was wondering if anybody else has had the temp gage drop like a rock and then come back to normal after 5-10 min. I replaced the thermostat and chacked the wires and they were fine. so I'm not sure what the problem would be???

Could be a bad temp sender unit or a bad temp gauge. My money is on the sender...
