I DONT KNOW IF IT IS SOMETHING THAT MAY HAPPEN TO YOU BUT , ON MY 98 MYSTIQUE V6 MY HIGH PRESSURE A/C LINE WAS WORN THROUGH BY THE CLAMP ON POWER STEERING HOSE , DONT GET UP NOW AND POP THE HOOD BUT IF THIS CAN SAVE ANYONE THE PROBLEM I WILL FEEL LIKE A BETTER HUMAN, LOOK BEHIND THE POWER STEERING FLUID RESERVOIR (BETWEEN THE STRUT TOWER AND THE FIRE WALL) AND CHECK THE CLEARANCE BETWEEN CLAMPS AND A/C LINE. HOPE YOU FIND ALL IS WELL , THE CAR HAS 67K ON IT AND HAVE ONLY REPLACED THE SERP BELT AND NORMAL MAINTINANCE AND OF COURSE THE NORMAL RECALLS, smile

Nice post! I went out last night to clean my TB and did some checking. My A/C line was being worn by a large wiring harness between the engine and the dash panel. I was surprised at how shiny and worn down the spot was where the two were touching. I wrapped a few layers of tape around the A/C line. That should be good for a while. I will surely keep my eye on it from now on. Great Catch!
