I took the 'ol Tour (only 27,000km) through our local "Air Care" test and it failed. NOx levels are really over the top. Everything else OK. CEL light doesn't light up until three days after the test. Figures! Waste of $50 for the test.
Anyway, I took it to my buddy's shop to get the codes. He has a SNAP-On reader with their latest software. We were able to get a data stream but gave an error "Unable to complete test" We tried another reader/software combo with the same result. Couldn't get the codes but were able to reset them.

Any ideas? Car running fine so I'm stumped. Maybe the IAC or EGR?

My next step is to take it to Ford Dealer for their computer
diagnostics (some BS $135 Cdn. quote)

I'm really hoping the computer isn't hooped.

BTW anyone happen to know the IAC part # for the SVT

Cheers

GO 'NUCKS GO!

You know that if you take your car back before (i think at most) 3 months you don't need to pay for the cashcow aircare test again?

Also on an off topic do you use paypal?
