you guys know where i can find the colored bulbs and the titanium bulbs for the front turn sigal. i cant seem to find the #2357 bulbs anywhere, do they use a differnt part number or a replacment number?
well it seems the 2357's are the turn bulbs on the 98 svt's but the 99's changed. since thats the case anyone try to paint there bulbs with high temp spray paint?

1157 uses 2.1 amps on high and .59 on low to produce 32 candlepower on high and 3 on low. They last for 1200 high and 5000 low hours. With an orange coating these produce 24/2.2 candlepower.
A 2357 uses 2.23/.59A and produces 40/3 candlepower but the bright filament is only rated at 400 hours. If an orange coating is added (or probably any other color) the output drops to 30/2.2 candlepower.
The 3157 has the same ratings as the 1157. The 3457 has the same ratings as the 2357. These have the plastic wedge base.
I would try to stay away from painting them. Buy colored ones. If you paint them the solid color will top almost all of the light from escaping. You'd almost be better off just unclipping the power leads from the back of the socket.
