Same here, just had the fuel filter replaced but after only one tank of gas it is doing the same thing again. I heard from others it is probably a bad fuel pump, so I am taking my car to my trusted mechanic tomorrow morning.

There is a good chance that your secondaries are not opening up for some reason. Are either of you throwing a CEL?

I had same problem...definitely the secondary
valve intake runner problem or thereabouts.....
they replaced an expensive solenoid and it worked
fine.....until I went on my vacation.....I suspect
2nd time around, a connection or something came
loose because computer diagnostics showed no
problem.....Ford never told me if mechanic re-connected anything before testing.....very
frustrating when you KNOW there is a problem and
they can't find it or don;t tell you what the
remedy is....

is it a nice smooth lack of power, or jerky, and spitting and sputtering and simply WONT pull all the way through first gear?

I have the same problem-lack of power. I took it into the dealer last fall, and mentioned that I thought the secondary wasn't opening. They didn't find a trouble code so they didn't fix it. This spring when I take it in, I'll just say it doesn't have power. Maybe they'll find the problem then. If they don't, I'll shop for a new dealer.

It is a smooth loss of power. It is not jerky. Thanks
